Tweezin' & Teasin'

Worked 12 hours today, and am actually about to do a little more work here at home. Weird, though, even after some sun and swimming yesterday and not all that much sleep, I had a lot of energy today. Really didn't start getting tired until that twelfth hour.

One weird but cool event. I work with a longtime friend whom I actually had about a yearlong crush on when I started at the company, almost three years ago. I still find her very attractive and we get along well and go out to lunch once a month or so, and I drop into her office to chat a few times a day. Anyway, I came from the men's room having noticed that I had a couple bristly hairs sticking out of my cheek, above the razorline. It's not new, but I had failed to pluck them over the weekend and couldn't really get a grip with my fingers to do it now. So I asked this woman if she had tweezers. She didn't. I mentioned my problem and she told me to move in closer to her, whereupon she leaned in and secured the hair in her teeth, lips brushing my cheek, and pulled it out. She repeated it with the second hair, and then, as shouldn't be a surprise, I told her I had some on my neck that needed work, too. We can joke around like that.

It was one of the more unusual things a woman has ever done to me, and kind of erotic. She mentioned it was something she did for her boyfriend. I knew she wasn't really flirting with me, despite what it may seem from reading this. Believe me, I've thrown the bait out enough times. That is, maybe some day something could happen, possibly, but not now that she has a boyfriend and seems pretty happy. Actually, later in the day she seemed kind of embarrassed by what she did and told me not to ever mention it to her boyfriend, which was pretty much a no-brainer. Maybe she told her girlfriend at work and got a negative reaction and reconsidered what she did, which I just took as really cool but harmless.
