Gettin' Kitten

Monday night after work I spent $350 on supplies for the kitten I'm going to adopt. I consulted with my cat-owning friend to get the shopping list, which was a great help (in payment I bought her a Bad Cat day-by-day calendar). I was really amazed at how elaborate the litter boxes and feeding bowls can get. I got a cool water dome with a filter and some litter that was made to attract/train kittens or "problem" cats. It really occurred to me in the shower this morning (a little late, I know) that I'm about to bring into my house this little life form capable of causing a lot of damage. Before I do this, I'm having the house cleaned, finally, and I'm holding off on buying that leather sectional I've been wanting. I have a pretty nice couch and love seat now, but if they get a little scratched, I can take it. I'm more worried about odor. But really, I'm looking forward to it. I've always been a dog person--well, I've only had one dog, but I've always liked dogs and had mixed feelings about cats, but now I'm really excited about it.
