Steady Mac'in

Just bought an iMac--my first--and am getting used to it. Having a 20" monitor is also a trip--the internet looks really tiny. I'm sure I'll figure it out soon. Not a big weekend but a very nice one in the small pleasures category. Bought some new shoes--work, play and hiking; finished my son's dresser after much duress, watched some Justice League Unlimited on dvd with them, had sushi with my son while my daughter was at dance class/play date for a few hours, played with both of them, watched the first disc of Season One of Beverly Hils, 90210, and found a good place for breakfast burritos. 90210 is actually weirdly good. Part of the appeal is the kitschiness/corniness of it, but damned if Doherty, Priestley, Ziering and Carteris weren't pretty good actors right from the start. It's fun to see the relationships start to gel--I really didn't watch the show the first year, so it's new to me. Also reading a good novel, Case Histories, though even 100 pages in it's hard to say what it's about. Sort of a mystery about a girl missing for 30 years or so, another girl murderered 5 years ago, and how parents do and don't connect with their children. Lots of characters and they're only now starting to cross paths with each other.
