I didn't think this issue was bad at all. The key for me is that the characters of Ralph and Renee are now
doing something rather than grieving and boozing. Not that there's anything wrong with that--I've written a fair amount of both in this miniseries I'm finishing--but neither the pacing of the series nor the art of Joe Bennett are suited to make those scenes anything but superficial at best, ridiculous at worst. I think the Cult of Superman is silly, and I'm not excited by the visual suggestion that maybe Steel will come back, covered in a flexible metal skin, but the action stuff with Renee and the Question is pretty good, even if Bennett can't draw realistic fabrics. I mean, I like girls in tight shorts as much as the next hetero guy, but shorts have wrinkles, right? They're not just the same size as your thighs, with lines drawn across to show they're separate from your legs. Good J.G. Jones cover again, so I guess he's batting .500. I don't know who that little pixie character is at the end, alongside Hawkgirl and Alan Scott, but I get a Seven Soldiers feel from her costume and fairy wings.

I think you're talking about Bumblebee from Teen Titans in the final image of this week's 52.
