Post-Key West

That post has been waiting for some glitches to clear up, so much has happened since then. Neither the stripper nor the very nice woman contacted me, which is good news on the former and not so good on the latter, but I didn't expect anything of either. I am currently in escrow on a nice 3BR, 3BA condo and it's going okay, though there are some hangups due to my divorce being only 99% final (it's final subject to filing a settlement agreement which is all agreed but needs to be recorded by the court). Shouldn't be a big problem.

What else? Oh, I am really making a big effort to just ignore the coworker I like a lot and see if she comes around, as I'm sure I've made my interest too known and now there's no thrill of the chase or whatever trip she's on.

Comic Book Galaxy is going through some changes once again--for the time-being, I may just post my column or just scattered reviews right here, so stay tuned. I'll be back on the site as soon as it's all spiffed up again, though. I may or may not have an interview with a respected, up-and-coming altcomics creator on Comic Foundry next week. The interview is pretty much done but there was a last minute personality conflict that hit me out of the blue. I hope it resolves itself and the interview goes up. Never had anything remotely like that happen before.

Reading Pekar's new American Splendor book, Ego & Hubris, the Michael Malice Story, which is absolutely wonderful. Pekar basically found a younger, harder-headed version of himself and lets him tell his life story, which is full of amazing conflicts and battles from childhood through school and office life. I love it.
