Jansonville

I'm long overdue in throwing some link love to Comic Foundry, because every few days they put up another good interview with a significant comics creator, usually artists. This is one of their best, though, an interview with one of the finest comics inkers (and not a bad penciler, either) ever, Klaus Janson. Go read.

In other news, there should be a new BREAKDOWNS column up at Comic Book Galaxy by the time most of you read this. No controversy in this one, I don't think, unless you're a huge Keith Giffen fan or something. I mean, it's even harder to push comix forward if you spend all day talking about things you already said, didn't say, or other people's misinterpretations of same.

Wrote another page of IRREGULAR JOE. Would've gone further but I decided to combine the next two scenes, I think, cross-cutting between them. I just got done writing a phone conversation and another one is coming up, and I think it would get a little dull (even if Harry Truman is on the other line) if I don't mix it up a bit.

Reading an uncorrected proof of WILL EISNER: A SPIRITED LIFE and it's fantastic. There's a ton I didn't know about the guy, and a lot of funny and/or surprising anecdotes.
